I take 5000 mcg of biotin and when it was at its worse I used Rogaine for Women (the walmart brand will do) Even though it says that if you stop using it your hair loss will continue that doesn't apply here. That is only for people that have male or female pattern baldness and since this is a dietary issue the loss will not resume when you stop using it. I am sure upping your calories will also help you.
